This gives Jesus a very special place in the Kingdom, and by implication a very special relationship to God. The Kingdom is usually spoken of as God’s, but on occasion it can be referred to as Jesus’ Kingdom (Mt. 13:41, 16:28, 20:21, 25:34–40). Wrong relation to Him excludes men from the Kingdom, for that seems to be the sense of passages which speak of people knowing final rejection because of their attitude to Him (Mt. 7:23; Mk. 8:38).
